See you next year!!!!

The AWS Community Day Nordics is a free full day event for AWS users to come together to network, learn from each other and get inspired. The event is organized by the community - for the community.

Date & Venue

This event is being held Tuesday, 7 May 2024 in DGI Byen's CPH Conference (Tietgensgade 65, 1704 København).

There are a number of hotel and accommodations in the area, given the venue is very close to Copenhagen Central Station. Depending on your budget, there are few options:

Agenda

Agenda will be published in the main event page. Questions about the agenda can be directed to the organizers.

Speaker Dinner

We will meet on May 6, the day before the event, at 18.15 CET, at Spuntino.

You can reach out the place by a short walk from Købehhavn central station.

Equipment

There will be professional grade AV equipment in place on all of the stages. The speaker station will support HDMI and usb-c connectivity for the video, but you are expected to bring your own laptop to run the slides you have.

Slide decks & Content

You are expected to use title slide of the AWS Community Day design reflecting the sponsors, title and date of the talk. This is important as these will be shown also in the recordings. The event is international and the language used in the conference is English. All talk contents and written materials should support this to enable our diverse participants to consume the content.

Slide deck template for 2024 can be downloaded from here

Also make sure that you have the rights to use any images or illustrations you intend to use on your decks

Recording

All talks will be recorded. All the talks should have the Q&A to be at the end of the talk to support the recording of the session.

If you wish not to be recorded / published, let the organizers know in advance.

FAQ

When can a speaker test the equipment

Speakers can come at the venues from 7:30 on the event day. Alternatively, you should arrive 15min prior to your talk time to the appropriate venue to ensure that your own equipment is working properly. There will be someone from the organizers/venue managing microphones and other similar tech, so you need to only bring your laptop with the appropriate video connector and possibly a remote clicker if you wish to use one.

What kind of microphones are we using

There will be headset or Handheld microphones. There will be connectors HDMI + Adapters ex. USBC. Microphone use is required because of venue size, background noise and because of wanting to make the content accessible for everyone.

Is there a deadline for slides?

No. Make sure thought you include the slides above with sponsors reference.
